Now the dust has settled after yesterdays game, and with so many outstanding players wearing yellow and green, what would you be prepared to pay for Naughton?

This guy is an incredible player, who looks comfortable anywhere in back 4.

I even believe he could play in midfield if needed.

Should we break the bank on this guy?

Maybe somewhere between 3-4m would get him?

I still believe that our first two signings this Summer will be, Snodgrass and Naughton.

Well if Liverpool paid £18m for Glen Johnson I can't see us getting him on the cheap, and I personally think Spurs would be mad to sell him.
He is absolutely brilliant, and signing him on a permanent deal has to be top priority for the summer, however like I said he is certain to cost mega bucks if he is made available and I worry that we might be priced out of the market.

is the problem more wages (and breaking our wage structure) than the transfer fee? if it's 3-4mil, transfer fee, then we could i thought pay that.
i hope we sign him for next season.

The fact we tried to sign him in January tells me, we know as a football club we can afford his wages. I'm not sure what his contract situation is, so if he is tied down to a long deal, maybe it could cost between 4-6m to get him instead of my earlier suggestion.

£4m would be a good offer in my opinion, a fair offer. would we get him for that? who knows, we'd possibly have to pay more but we should do all we can to sign him <ok>

Summer spending spree of £15m coming up, I think, funded by Morison's departure for around £6m, for Rhodes, Naughton and Snodgrass

Yes, let's sell our second best goalscorer because some of us don't think he does enough running. <doh>

Naughton would be a steal at 3-4m he could play for England and for us for a decade.

Serious talent. Rhodes up front in the summer could happen as well i reckon

i think the rhodes thing is interesting. someone obviously pumped a lot of money on a deal happening in january as the odds went crazy. do they know something we don't? he'll have many, many suitors in the summer though. as for selling morison, i assume this is based on the made up rumour that he and tierney have, shall we say, fallen out over something? its weird that the two players were seen happily conversing with each other just the other day considering the rumour about them, wouldn't you say...?

When did you see this, because I'd love to know for sure that this rumour is utter trash?

i saw them in the players lounge after the bolton game while my mate saw them after the leicester game (i couldn't go to that one so he had my ticket). so unless something has changed in the last couple of weeks (which would still be unlikely as the rumour was first heard weeks and weeks ago) then its utter tosh unless they are very good at hiding their true feelings.

If we bought bennett from peterborough for £3.2m i can't see us getting a player of Naughtons quality for less than £6m unless spurs don't want him or he forces his way out.

isn't his contract running down soon though? i don't know if its true or not but definitely read it somewhere! he's under 24 so we'd have to pay but i suppose it would go to tribunal if no fee is agreed.

Of course because he has proved himself to be a worthy investment, judging by how the club is running our finances and where we finish I can see us spending a bit more then a few million on a player.

i think we can all expect our record transfer to be broken on maybe two or three occasions this summer. nothing too dramatic, but £4m and £5m could be likely fees from now on! <ok>

I am sure his contract is running out at the end of this season! They signed walker and naughton for a combined £9mil so i would say 4-5 mil would be enough if it isnt out this year, but it if it is then who knows what we could get him for! Spurs would have to take on the consideration of a tribunal fee which could be far less than what they would want <ok>

I say get him at all costs! along with rodriguez or rhodes...

Naughton's contract is up summer 2013

    http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/kyle-naughton/profil/spieler_66219.html

they paid roughly £5m (as ICHB rightly says he was bought along with walker for about £10m but that was after Everton had a £5m bid turned down) so i doubt they would take a loss, unless they think walker is worth significantly more, i reckon our staring bid would have to be £6m, still could be a bargin.
