    Not good news. Looked good as well against Barnsley.

    Gary Monk will be captain yet again this season!

    The whole team tonight is shocking, but Ash has been pretty solid for us this season bar that one costly mistake against Sunderland. But this Bartley injury will do some damage, especially if Tate is brought in :/

    The best thing that could happen to Williams on the weekend is lining up beside his old sidekick Monk ... look for Ash to have a good game if that's the case . When Caulker , Taylor & or Rangel couldn't play last season through suspension , injury or Caulker not being able to start against the Spurs , Monk & Richards started 22 games as replacements . We finished 11th in the League . If Monk& Richards won't be given a chance under the same conditions this season , then the reason why totally eludes me

    This could be the break Darnell Situ needs.

    breeze see you mention the Spurs game which we lost 3 - 1. I am sorry Monk has had his day, far to slow now. But, I may be wrong and he may start. I am sure i read somewhere thugh that he is also out injured.

    Monk is slow but his reading of the game and communication and organisation of the back four is outstanding. Would I put him in for the next three games........uhhhhhhh.........I probably would. I'd prefer him to Tate at CB tbh.

    O M G

    We're going to struggle for a few games I think but it's time for Tate/ Monk to prove us doubters wrong. From what I've seen neither can compete at this level.

    Oh well we will just have to stick 4 or 5 past Villa to make up for a couple of defensive errors on our part. No biggie :)

    Monk is an injury worry so there's still a chance he might start . My plan for Monk to start is two fold .Firstly , he knows the system & had 5 clean sheets last season in 14 starts in spite of all the complaints that he's not good enough to be out there & secondly I think Monk just being beside Williams is going to bump Ash's game up a bit at this point in time .

    There were complaints he wasn't good enough Breezy because when he played we usually conceded down to him. It's a fact even though it may be unpalatable.

    I think the defence against Villa will be;

    Rangel----Tate-----Williams-----B. Davies

    With Situ and Tiendalli on the bench...if not Situ then who? Monk isn't fit...could Obeng cover at centre-half? Agustien?

    I think KA has played CB in the past elsewhere. Laudrup likes players who can play in different positions so he could be drafted in.
