This wouldn't surprise me. Chance for us to reduce the wage bill and a chance for Konchesky to have a final crack at the Premier League. £1 million plus and I'd sell. Hopefully Nicky Shoery to replace him (should this be true).
Hate always seeming to be negative but I'm not sure he will be a real loss ... certainly won't be putting him in any Premm FF teams ... easily beaten by tricky, skillfull, quicker players ... great attitude and determination but often let down by a temper that gives away needless free kicks and bookings ... also would take a hefty slice out the wage bill .. give Kennedy a chance
@RobTannerMerc: Interesting report in the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle linking QPR with a move for Konchesky. One to watch I reckon.
“@FoxToffee: After Mills, the Leicester board have still told NP he has to cut a few more before signing 'big' players” That's Konchesky gone
Big players eh? I.e. the players Nigel wants? I'm not trying to WUM the Hull fans and they don't need to tell us for the 10000 millionth time (unless they still feel insecure about it) but I think it's obvious bids for Chester and Stewart will be going in.
We all know bid are going to go in for some Hull players. Weather they will be accepted is another matter. Saying this players is worth this and we aren't selling is irrelevant because Nigel isn't going to read these forums see the Hullbfans post and change his mind
What is with this obsession with reducing wages? Literally 1 year on from your owners splashing the cash on big signings with big wages. Have they realised they can't afford to sustain it? Was it a one off punt at buying promotion and now they realise it isn't that simple? Or is it all to do with FFP? Not a wind up, genuine question.
Pearson wants to this. Also if he reduces the wage bill he might buy himself some more time as it takes pressure off him
I suppose it makes sense, i suspect he's on a bit of a campaign to get rid of all the big egos too. He doesn't seem to like managing them, not necesarily a bad thing but if you do go up he'll have to cope with them eventually.
Financial Fair Play me thinks. Owners don't want to risk ****ing the club over. I.e go for it again and fail again to be left with **** tonne of wages and no club wanting to buy the players.
Clint Hill has just signed a new deal at QPR so would they really want Konchesky aswell? Surely they would want someone a bit younger
I don't know why people are so ready to let Konchesky go. He might not be the most naturally gifted footballer, but he's such a grafter, I'd be really upset if he left!
I suspect he is one of the highest wages .... and for me that, combined with the fact that I think he will get slaughtered in the Prem now, would be why I would not be too upset if we sold him ...
