Probably BS seeing as we have Giroud, Podolski, Walcott and Gervinho who can all play CF. I think it's more likely that we'll sign Henry on loan in January again. As for Hunterlaar, he's a mixed bag. Obviously talented, but in some games he can be totally anonymous.
Hope it's true. If we got him I think a 442 with Giroud and Huntelaar up front would be deadly. Poldi and Theo on the wings?
Absolutely not. Huntelaar isn't good in leagues where he has to move about and do something. He tried Spain and Italy, what makes you think England will be different? If we go 442, where will Cazorla play? I can't see him in centre midfield. Our strength is with a midfield 3 of Caz/Art/Wilsh. Walcott is better in a more advanced role (wing-striker), not in a 4-man midfield. Right now I'm very happy with Giroud. I think he can keep this form up all season like he did for Montpellier. His work rate is exemplary, so there's no reason for him to go off the boil. Llorente or Cavani would be great, but Giroud has managed to make it so buying a striker isn't as big a priority as before. I'd rather have a world class centre back like Hummels or Subotic, although they're happy at Dortmund.
Dont you think Giroud and Llorente are too similiar in style? Would be pretty cool because all crosses into the box would be a danger! Would love to have Cavani in our team but that will NEVER happen.
Tbh we need a fast nippy striker such as Adrian Lopez or Stevan jovetic. The rest are too similar to an Ever improving Giroud.
I'm with you on this one, the story is full of ballbags. We won't get anyone this transfer window. Wenger is happyish with the squad and there are players coming back from injury. Also agree on the Henry rumour, but it depends on his club releasing him, which they are reluctant to do.
He is simular to Giroud but is MUCH sharper round the box. Giroud is a very good player but when you look at Huntelaar, Cavani,Gomez and LLorente its clear he lacks the natural finishing ability these guys have. By the time Huntelarr was Girouds age (he's 29 now) he had over 200 league goals.(Giroud has just hit 100) In fact Huntelaars goals to games ratio is better than double what Giroud's is. Dont get me wrong I like Giroud but he lacks the sharpness that the very TOP target men have. I would take Huntelaar in a heartbeat. Besides Gervinho is away at the ACON and Chamakh may be sold this January. Having two big forwards is not a bad thing.
If players can be offloaded, I'd like him in. If Squillaci, Chamakh, Arshavin, and a few others can be got rid of, then I'd be all for Huntelaar coming in and some rotation and tactical variance taking place. Sadly Wenger isn't known for his tactical variations, at all, ever.
Look I still don't think gervinho is anything special but pod and giroud are really improving and I am very happy with them. That being said I would take huntelar in a Heartbeat. All the best clubs have two wc strikers see how Chelsea are struggling with only Torres. He is a natural finisher much better than any we have now (even theo) he is a bit quicker and mobile than giroud yet can play lone man. Plus it is a brilliant option should we play 442 against teams such as stoke and the like. We can't moan about squads nd w players and then scoff when we are linked to one. That being Said no chance of him coming due to wages isn't he on 150k plus? But I said it at h start of the season we need a str and a dm/cm and. Young up and coming cb such as papadoupolus or someone quite happy with it 3 CBS so far. Mer been immense, kos returning to better form and tv needs to improve form bu till old player. Ideally I would take Fellani, huntelar and papadoupolus Realistically we will get Henry on loan, holtby for free at end of season and diaby will be like a new signing.

Where exactly are these rumours coming from, the local hair salon? Everyone and his dog knows that we won't buy anyone unless Arsenal are in some dire straits. At the moment, we are close to 4th, so Wenger won't buy anyone.

Huntelaar is a great player with one major flaw. He can't play football. He can only score goals. Giroud is better than him in every area bar goalscoring. It would be a downgrade IMO.
That's a fine oxymoron you've displayed there. A player who can't play football but can only score goals? So, he could technically score 25 goals in the premier league for us, but he still wouldn't be good enough? You're making him out to be some sabutteo player....
He can't though, he's like Mario Gomez. And he wouldn't score 25 goals for us because we require our strikers to show a bit of initiative, which is why Chamakh is so bad for us.
Perhaps an option closer to home would be a better option, we have had rumours in the past about sessegnon at sunderland and i think he would be fantastic for us, i've been impressed with him everytime i've seen him play and none of the top clubs seems willing to go for him but i think he'd fit into our team nicely he's always a step ahead of his teammates and the opposition and should be playing for a much better team.
