The Tigers are pleased to support the ‘Kits for Kenya’ campaign as part of the Club’s successful partnership with shirt sponsor SportPesa.

As part of the campaign, we are asking for Tigers’ supporters to donate any football shirts, boots or any other football related items they no longer require to send to Kenya in time for the New Year.

The campaign will run over a two-month period, starting from this Sunday’s home fixture against Southampton and running until the Everton fixture on the 30th December. ‘Deposit boxes’ will be found at the entrances of Tiger Leisure both at the KCOM Stadium and the Prospect Centre.

The Tigers’ Commercial Manager Simon King said: “We would very much encourage our supporters to get involved with the ‘Kits for Kenya’ campaign. We have been lucky to witness first hand the fantastic work SportPesa do in the Kenyan community and will look to support their work wherever possible.”

“Football is a sport which touches many people across the world and we hope our supporters do all they can to provide shirts and boots to some of the most disadvantaged areas of Kenya.”

Ronald Karauri, CEO of SportPesa added: “We are delighted that our partnership with Hull City has presented us with a platform to transform the lives of many disadvantaged people in Kenya by supporting the country’s vast sporting talent.

“This initiative by Hull City is evidence that the shirt sponsorship deal we signed with the club in July is mutually beneficial to both parties.

“Sport is a very integral part of many communities in Kenya especially at the grassroots level where activities such as football have helped rehabilitate young men and women living in slums, fostered peaceful relations among people of different backgrounds and have provided our young men and women with employment or at least a useful pastime activity.

“The kits donated will be a great New Year gift to many young people in Kenya.”
