No, everything you have said about Walcott has not been spot on. You talk a load of rubbish about certain players. You've slated him repeatedly and didn't even let up last season when he had a fantastic return of goals and assists. Granted Walcott isn't as effective against tighter teams who sit with 11 men behind the ball as he cannot use his pace as effectively. That is a really obvious observation to make and doesn't make you really clever. Every single player who plays wide and has a lot of pace is less effective in games against teams who sit back. In fact most attacking players are less effective as they have less space to play in. But he still has great finishing and has proven himself very capable. Just because there are certain games where his pace is not as useful doesn't make him next to useless. You over exxagerate massively purely because you have decided you don't think Walcott is good enough (which he very clearly is btw).
But he wasn't good enough for Arsenal FC, and I in that thread and many others was among those who wanted him loaned and not let our season take a hit. The amount of goals we shipped in because of him that season was enough.
Well I said he wasn't starter material because most of the teams we faced before this season did sit deep against us (i.e. making Walcott useless). And I said before this season started that the league has changed in a way that would benefit Walcott (you must have missed that, or it makes your point weaker?), which is shown by teams like southampton and Swansea and other lower teams leading in possession stats.
Last season he had some of the best goals and assists stats in the league, so your whole "its easier for him this season" remark doesnt effect my point at all.
Walcott will be one of our biggest misses this season. His goals and assists will be missed hugely. Can OXO and Gnarby (too soon for him) make up for his absence? Probably not.
This whole kalstorm thing is a disgrace not even the apologists can put a positive spin on this we basically signed an injured player what a joke
From the beeb live reporting David Ornstein, BBC Sport Kim Kallstrom update "New Arsenal signing Kim Kallstom is set for a spell on the sidelines with a back injury that was discovered in the medical before he signed on loan from Spartak Moscow. "The 31-year-old Sweden midfielder sustained the problem on Tuesday while playing football on a beach during Spartak's pre-season tour in Abu Dhabi. "He informed Arsenal of discomfort upon arriving at the club on Friday but, despite an MRI scan showing no damage, a CT scan found an issue with his back. "The Arsenal medical team provided manager Arsene Wenger with the prognosis, but it was decided Kallstrom would still join and undergo his rehabilitation with the Gunners. "He is expected to miss at least Arsenal's next six games, in which they face Crystal Palace, Liverpool twice, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Sunderland. "Kallstrom did not train with his new team-mates on Friday or Saturday and will briefly return to Sweden and Russia before moving to London and beginning a course of treatment. "The former Lyon player, Arsenal's only signing in the January transfer window, joined on loan until the end of the season to provide cover for injured midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, plus the suspended Mathieu Flamini."
He had it before we got it him but we still decided to take him and to do his rehabilitation with us what a ****ing joke
So wenger signed an injured player to cover injured players wenger has really outdone himself this time in dumb decisions
What really? Why the **** did we get an injured player when we already have Ramsey out injured and then shipped Frimpong out? Incompetent ****s.
Wenger can be pretty weird with these decisions at times. ohh well.. Rosicky should be be able to play. He should never have missed the Saints game IMO.
