It is speculation, this is the media making guesses and not in fact in basis of truth. I never believe a word I read on transfer claims from the media
No chance. As good as Ki is, he is not good enough to break into the Arsenal side. With all of their midfield options available (and very likely Vidal is signing for them too) Ki wouldn't make the bench.
Nah! Check-back and it appears that the primary source for this rumour is an Arsenal fan-site, Arsenal Mania., the same site which led last summers rumours linking Ash with a move to Arsenal. Pay little credence to this 'fan-story'. http://arsenal-mania.com/arsenal-target-swansea-midfielder/? As much as I love Ki, I doubt he'd even make the bench at Arsenal so, the story is a non starter afaic.
yes sure ,tell his dad the midfielder began, speaking to South Korean newspaper JoongAng Daily, “It’s meaningful if a big club pays attention to me and I think this happened because of my performance this season. The best team for me is the team where I can play on the field.”
One minute arsen is saying our players are ordinary and the next he wants half our squad......Ki is going nowhere it is the club that pays his wages not his dad...his dad is irrelevant....
This is why I ain't concerned about the Arsenal rumours as his game time would be very limited at theirs. It's Liverpool I'm wary of here, he's walk straight into their team
Ash William syndrome all over again. according to some ash had already signed and was at Arsenals training ground yes of course he was in their dreams he was sunning himself with Rio Ferdinand 3,000 miles away...
He maybe irrelevant to you but perhaps not to Ki, his heads' been turned by the "big" club interest . £15,000,000 and they can have him .
Liverpool paid that for Joe and £25,000,000 for Lallana and Ki is better than both. We should hold out for £20+million for Ki. There aren't many of his types of players around.
You're probably right regarding talent but we & Southampton caught Liverpool with our ex players and Wenger is no fool .At the moment we have an abundance of talent in the middle and Ki's fee would go a long way in purchasing the stadium without the need for "outside" investment + the work on gaining category 1 status isn't cheap .New barn , class rooms , hydro pool and so on has to be paid for.
Agree. Once we get the stadium capacity increased and the category 1 status, we can then push onto the next level and fight with Southampton, Liverpool, Everton, and Spurs of this world for the EL positions, possibly win a few more cups and solidify our status as a top 10 club. I think we're on the verge of another very exciting journey as we are no longer a club that will face a relegation threat imo.
This next season is the most important season in our history because of the extra £5b that is up for grabs. we need to finish in the top ten and to do that we need to recruit quality players and not sell our best players to our rivals. To sell Ki would be a big mistake and we must put a value to us on his head and that cant be anything less than £25m - £30m ....anything less and we will be giving him away....
Dai - agree with what you say. One question/observation, I thought the TV deal was £5bn in total, not an extra £5bn.
whatever it is it's a hell of a lot of money but the further up the table we are the more we get.....
