I was reading an article in the Independant that there are growing concerns of funding for the IRA (not sure what it stands for but I'm sure the first word might be Irish) by the KFC chain. Has this got historical beginnings when Bobby Sands was famously going to have a chicken supper 5 days before a lack of food got to him? I've never been to Ireland before but I think there are one or two natives on here who could elucidate. It's a worrying trend as McDonalds have been a bit naughty with this in the past. The last time I was in Ireland was 1974 and it was very green. The people were charming if somewhat intellectually deficient.
You could be onto something ER. I believe the chain was founded by a mysterious 'Colonel' in the IRA.
What? Not even when I was born in England in 1965. Hmmmm........interesting train of thought. I'll get back to you on this one.
Your contributions to GC are always insightful and perspicacious. It's amazing how you always manage to capture the zeitgeist of the moment and put into words of what everyone on here is thinking. I honestly believe that GC would collapse and cease to be if it wasn't for your sterling contributions. Keep up the good work
the 'ra are into diddly-dee music about potatoes and convicts. Not sure they would be into the rapid thrash of Scott Ian's Anthrax.
