We are just used to our own manager having a bit of class regarding how he handles transfer business, as opposed to your "World Renowned" manager shouting his mouth off about the potential transfer targets of other clubs. He should worry more about his own, having seen some of the stick your fans have been giving him of late about his team selection, formations etc lol

I can't remember slating QPR when they were linked with him. I did however slate Harry Redknapp for being a complete **** and leaking the deal.

General consensus is that he'll do a job in games like Leeds away when we need a goal with 10 minutes to go. I think he's been offered a coaching role too and I imagine he's on fair wages.

He said in an interview with our 'FoxesPlayer' that he would be more than happy to take shooting sessions after training should Pearson want him to.

I think everyone, Pearson included, know that he'll past it fitness wise. But he's still switched on upstairs so I imagine when you get that one last chance with minutes to go that you'll want it to fall to him.

He'll be worth 5 points IMO.

Agreed, he's never really rlied on his pace but his ability to put the ball in the net.

Got to be worth a short term gamble if you are loking to go up. He's done it 5 times now & theres nothing to say he wont again.

He's made a living out of getting teams up, so in reality you dont have much to lose, except some minmal wages.

    Anyway time will tell

As for the other bit, I'm certain there was some "banter" about us signing but i cant be arsed to look for it TBH. <ok>

EDIT: To ad to what you posted earlier, I wouldnt want to be playing against him in the Play Off Final.

Sensible if not exciting addition, with a contract to the end of the season. Not many better finishers than Phillips and great to bring on in the last 10-20 mins. Like others said, if a chance falls to him he will pt it away 9 times out of 10 and forget that he is 40, still fit as a fiddle.

Good signing for you guys - Phillips could ensure the goals that get you over the line come the end of the season when things get twitchy

<laugh> If he is "world renowned", it will be for all the wrong reasons.

And Steve Bruce mentioned Readings approach of Jack Hobbs? You do know Hobbs does play for Hull, right? Who Steve Bruce manages?

Whereas Phillips does NOT play for you? Therefore, having nothing to do with your club? <doh>

Hopefully he'll add extra point to get us over the automatic promotion line, Leicester fans of recent years will tell you we want to avoid the playoffs at all costs <ok>

@JasonBourne1986: Pearson also says he'd like to keep Phillips as a coach when he finishes playing. Has had talks with him about it. #lcfc

I have no idea what´s going on ref this transfer ? Is KP trying to get into coaching... is that it. Still he´s only going to be with us a couple of months (as a player) anyway.

Player till the end of the season and then a coaching role i would assume.

I think the 6 months contract hes been given is just as a player though.

Kevin Phillips is one of my favourite players. Even now I wouldn't be comfortable seeing him coming on against us for a 10 - 15 minute cameo because he knows how to get goals.

I think it's a good bit of business if he gets involved in coaching you too because he's a cracking example to younger players for what a professional attitude can achieve.

The coaching role, for me, is the deal swinger.

I don't think I would be that bothered if he just came in for 6 months. But now we're getting a former world class striker who has scored countless goals in as a coach, I think it's excellent business for all concerned.

Think Vardy will learn a lot from him - if he wants to.
