BBC revealed that a club spokesman said that the expectation is that the transfer of Kevin De Bruyne will be finished this week.

What do fellow Chelsea fans think of De Bruyne and this news? Signing De Bruyne will enable Mata to play in the hole behind Torres with De Bruyne on the left wing.

De Bruyne is 20 years old and is a natural left footed winger. He scored 5 goals and got 16 assists which contributed to Genk being crowned Belgium league Champions last season.

  2. Does this lad have pace, in the mould of Lennon and Walnut?

He is quick but not lightening fast like Lennon.

No <grr>. He was **** against us in the CL and he knew we'd all be watching him. Then again, nobody can be much worse than Malouda at the moment!

Would rather have Willian Borges than De Bruyne. At least Willian is Brazilian.

Yeah Willian is much better than De Bruyne. Don't get this De Bruyne signing he isn't lightening fast, dosn't score a lot of goals and has no skill.

Very good signing and glad we're loaning him straight back to Genk for the remainder of the season, good plan and good work by avb

Willians 23, De Bruynes 20, Who's to say De Bruyne won't be better when his 23?
De bruynes a good player, good passer and can actually provide great crosses and is quite fast. I'd say his just a bit below the level of Willian and Hazard but his younger and cheaper, 8million? For a 20 year old with a lot of potential? What we got to lose? Rather pay 8mill for KDB than 30 for Hazard or 25 for Willian, he also like the other two has CL experience and i know he wasn't the best vs us but A) His in a **** team and B) Who's to say Willian or Hazard would of done anything of note against us?
31 Year old malouda or take a chance on a 20 year old with a lot of potential? Know who i'd rather have, lets give im a chance

He may well be one for the future but what the **** about now,we need someone with a bit of pace on the wing NOW not next year, cant see the point of loaning him straight back anymore than Courtois who we bought and loaned him straight out to Athletico Madrid.....pointless.

Both loans are not pointless in the slightest, i'd rather KDB joins in the summer so he has the whole pre-season etc to settle in, big step the belgian league to the premier league, i'd rather he be playing week in week out to improve, and what's the point of having courtious on the bench? His young and needs to be playing every game to improve and get more experience not keeping a bench warm and playing the odd fa or carling cup game, Courtious is looking quality for Athletico and after another season their he will be ripe and ready to replace Cech

Yes but what he's saying lcooper is that we need somebody right now and that if we buy De Bruyne and nobody else, it's pointless for this season which to be honest is the thing I'm most concerned about at the moment.

We don't need anyone at the moment if AVB plays our best formation 4-1-2-1-2

Heres a thought what if this De Bruyne signing is meant to help Chelsea sign Eden Hazard in the summer because then we'll have 3 Belgiums in the squad, Courtois, Lukaku, De Bruyne which would help Hazard to settle he would be the 4th Belgium.

The Belgium blokes will be a huge boost towards getting Hazard, no doubt.

Anyway, hes young, bottled it against us, but no doubt a good promising talent. Hope we dont loan him though.
