According to our Clubsite, City have agreed an undisclosed fee with Kilmarnock for midfielder Liam Kelly.

Manager Derek McInnes confirmed the news about the 22-year-old at his pre-match news conference.

He now aims to get the deal "over the line" before Saturday's home game with Leicester City

Good news, so let's hope this turns out to be one of the crucial signings we've been crying out for

A Caulker Mark 2 would be nice

Its on the BBC website now, so it must be true :)

Liam Kelly: Bristol City agree deal for Kilmarnock midfielder

Bristol City have agreed to sign Kilmarnock midfielder Liam Kelly for an undisclosed fee.

Manager Derek McInnes said he hoped the deal would be completed before Saturday's game with Leicester City.

Scotland international Kelly, 22, has scored six goals in his last nine SPL appearances and is contracted at Kilmarnock until the summer.

Meanwhile, City have confirmed they have also put in a bid for Crawley defender Kyle McFadzean.

McInnes told BBC Radio Bristol that the club were "pushing hard to get a deal done" for the 25-year-old former Sheffield United and Alfreton centre-back, who has made 21 appearances so far this season, scoring three goals.

On the deal for Scottish midfielder Kelly, McInnes said: "I think his best years are ahead of him. I think he's a player that will bring something to us immediately, but also going forward.

"I think he's a young player that fits the type that we'd like to bring to the club and recruit.

"We've watched him at close quarters again this season and we feel his career is moving in the right direction."

"Kelly, whose contract ends in the summer, has been linked with Celtic, Norwich City and West Ham United."

Bloody hell guys, you beat some good opposition there. Why do you think he chose you?

Maybe also a more or less guarantee of first team football rather than a "makeweight" at the others?

I thought mochyn du left us to play at Coventry a few years ago.
Not sure where he is now - an infuriating player IMO - good tricks but always moved diagonally towards the goal instead of getting to the byline and putting a cross in like a winger should.

Very subtle BCFCR&W; it took me a couple of minutes to work that one out.
And Shiny have you managed to translate "mochyn du" yet? Or perhaps don't bother as it was what my Welsh grandmother used to say to me if I did anything naughty. Perhaps Redordead will enlighten you.

McIndoe is a director of a number of businesses, including investment schemes, concierge services, property and restaurants.[7] McIndoe is a director of collapsed investment scheme Narvana Investments, and associated company Glam Investments, which targeted footballers offering a guaranteed 20% per month return. Narvana collapsed in December 2011, suspected of being a Ponzi scheme,[1][8] and is presently being investigated by the Financial Services Authority.
