Keith Andrews says he has been put on gardening leave by the club.. Just another way of saying he won't be involved again but cannot go back to Bolton as they don't want him. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9631601/andrews-on-garden-leave Sure somebody will come in for him...
Catch 22 for him. If he says he wants to be 'rescued' he draws attention to the fact that two clubs would rather not have him in their squads... If he says nothing, he is in danger of rotting away with no one noticing... And at 34... Bravo to the Pozzos for backing Jokanovic. Nothing causes more unrest than unclear boundaries.
Well Bolton loaned him because they couldn't afford his wages. Now Watford are under contract to pay his wages for the season so the only way out is for Watford or his agent to find him another club to go to. Bolton will not accept his wages back on their books would they? Nothing to do with his football or his character where Bolton is concerned.
I think I read somewhere that we were paying half of his 25k a week salary. It's unlikely MK Dons could afford that so I imagine we will still have to pay some towards that as well. Crazy if 3 teams are paying one person's wage!
There has been some speculation about why he was not wanted. Maybe a tweet from him shows where the problem lay. “@WatfordNewsOnly: Watford boss Jokanovic eyes English coach to join his backroom staff” Great! Pass him on my number 077GOFUCKYOURSELF please log in to view this image
I seem to remember Robbie Fowler having his wages paid by 3 clubs - Man City, Leeds and Liverpool I think. There are probably more examples but tbh most will want to keep quiet about it!
Whoops, Keith. Don't get gobby till you're clear of the club. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30847966
Interesting comparing Andrews' and Jokanovic's careers. Both DMs with similar number of top tier games, both with reasonable amount of international experience. But SJ won the Spanish League and Supercopa and Andrews' experience was generally at the wrong end of the table. I wonder if there is a pride issue here with Andrews assuming he is more knowledgable than SJ and not knowing much about SJ's career, particularly at Deportivo.
