Keeping it Quiet

Just thought that Mackay did a very good job of keeping the Cowie signing under the wrappers. We've had talk of Earnie, Bellamy and Goodwille but the first I heard of it was when SBFF posted it a about an hour before announcement. Good signing anyway (more scots please )

Agreed about keeping things quiet until in the bag. I suspect there'll be a few more like that before the new season starts. Headliners like Bellamy, Taylor and Goodwillie do a good job in keeping the spotlight off other potential targets (not that I'd object to those three mind).

 

I think most of us fans were completely shocked as the snippets of a signing annoucement filtered through.
I like the way it's being kept a bit closer to the chest, unlike the last few seasons.

 

Less chance for smaller clubs to try and hijack our deals by offering more money and a guaranteed starting place, those ****ing Wurzel bastards!

 

Just as it should be and as a bonus puts Carl Curtis in his place.

 

Well no Rhondda. Carl announced (hinted) toward the Cowie signing an hour before it went public. Just made the point on SBFF's post that I hope Carl uses his privellaged IN position for the interests of the club.

Maybe the guy has a relationship with CCFC PR? Who knows?

 

Carl Curtis knows as much as Jamie Lee Curtis but has less class.

 

We know. he makes **** up, and crosses his fingers that he's right.

As Rhondda said, DJ to WH? He'd probably been down the bookies and saw there was a half decent price on it so thought he'd try his luck.

I'm just the ordinary guy in the street , no claim to fame contacts within the club.
But occassionally us ordinary guys get a whiff before the majority.
I think Carl does an ok job, but if he has contacts then it's what you would expect.
It's been debated on their forum many times as to whether it is to the good of the club that he posts up, what is or should be, privileged information.
I would put it this way, if the information is gained by illicit means, that is to say because of a leak, and it was information the club did not want to release untill a later date, then perhaps that info should not be posted if its has an adverse affect on the club,
However, if its just an "heads up" then post away and damn the moaners.
