Now we have the Jos signing wrapped up we have plenty of defensive cover but what about in goal. If Kelvin got injured do we think we have suffucient back up?

I think bart would be sufficient!! He did well in the championship before we had kelvin so there is no reason why he couldn't do it again

I've never seen anything wrong with Bart. He's unfortunate not to be getting games, so I admire his patience. I hope he gets his reward.

I think that's my point he's only played around a dozen times in three years. He never got a game at Ipswich and only played twice for Barnsley. Is that sufficient or do we need more experienced cover?

he's played more than that. he had a long run in the side in the winter of 09 when kelv was out for like 3 months.

Bart is good enough cover. If Kelv got injured. we'd have Bart and a youngster then on the bench.

Bart has to be one of the best no.2's in the whole league.

There are certain areas I would like us to strengthen next month (slightly scary to think it is only a month away now!), but back-up keeper is certainly not one of them.

I really do feel sorry Bart as he has been very patient in being no 2 to Kelv. I just hope he gets his chance but if we get to the premier league as i fear Nige might want a top keeper for when kelv retires.

I cant see why anyone would questions Barts abililty. It has been seen in some parts that he is a quality keeper and should be back up at the very least. I really hope we do start to play him soon, we do need to give something back to him because of how long he has been waiting for an opertunity in the wings.

If anything disastrous happened we could get an emergency loan to cover us in that position.

Barts a very good back-up, I would have no worries about playing with with young Jack Dovey on the bench no worries at all

I always look to see Kelv and Bart kicking in before to game starts, when its time for Bart to disappear they always touch gloves....and it appears genuine respect for eachother...I think its a nice touch ...two top men

Surely he's the natural replacement for Kelv when he throws in the towel. He surely wouldn't still be here if this wasn't the case?

+ Puncheon in january. We're trying to run a sustainable club, having 5 wingers is more than enough. I'm just glad Nicola runs the club and not people on here
