Jason is set to become a journeyman in football. A season here, a season there. His agent will probably make more money than the Punch himself.
Good job I re-read that, I nearly formed a bad opinion of you, I read it that you had "with" between play and myself! Silly me.
Jason Puncheon is a skilful player who knows where the goal is but he's got no future at this club. I feel he could be one one of those players who could come back to bite us a la Kevin Phillips....they both come across as 'chippy' At least he can have absolutely no doubt where he stands; it's a bit of a giveaway when you're not given a squad number
I dis agreed with the fans who were booing him when he wasn't playing great, sometimes a player needs encouraging not booing but it happened and now look where he is. Mainly due to the fact he has been a baby instead of a pro football player!
To be honest it is a shame to have a player on our books of his calibre and yet not able to play him. None of us are sure of the circumstances behind his demise within the club other than the statement made by NA last year. It was evident that things were not to his liking as soon as NA arrived. We have all gone along with the rumours about his nose being put out of joint by young chamberlain. The rumours of the training incidents, while not officially confirmed, have been confirmed by other sources. The rest is pure hear say and speculation. The chap has already got a reputation as a journey man it is not going to be that easy lose that kind of reputation!!
I think the only thing we know for sure is that when Puncheon wasn't playing well, we as fans booed him rather than encouraged him. He may be a bit of a cry baby but if everyone came to my works, stood at my desk and booed me, I think I might get a bit precious about it too and when I started telling people to f*** off I imagine I would be accused of being unprofessional and having an attitude problem. It's a shame because if we as fans, the club and puncheon himself had all handled things a little differently I think we would have had a fantastic player on our hands and one that is good enough to go all the way to the premiership with us but que sera sera.
