And the rest will be scrapping for 2nd place. The team has gelled , outstanding young players have been given their chance and we have a brilliant manager. Injuries could cost us but I reckon a couple of pacy wide players would see us go up automatically. Brilliant performance and team management. Joe Ralls looks in the same league as Arron Ramsey at the same age. Reading are a good side but that could have been 6 today.
we have 2 excellent centre backs, hudson and turner were outstanding, faultless displays from them. ralls i agree was excellent, as were gunnarsson and blake grew in to the game, despite an awful start to the game.. i second that we have a brilliant manager, he's bought very, very well and got us playing, fair play to him
i highly doubt shearer was a prime candidate, he was probably interviewed along with 5-6 other candidates, then bullshitted to the media that he turned it down because he wants to continue his career as footballs worst pundit
cheers Breezy, hope you had a good xmas, looks like things are on the up at both clubs, contrary to popular belief Shearer wasn't offered the job, could you imagine the crass comments about the 'sheep shaggers having a Shearer in charge' lol
Hilts baby - are you starting to believe? Reading are a good side as are Boro a couple of games back. Watch out for Holloway's lot though - they can play some lovely stuff when they get on their game and could easily take that 3rd spot (behind us and Boro). A couple of quality mid/wide players with pace and you are right - the scrap will be for the second auto spot.
Sparkey. The job Malky has done is unbelievable. Can we keep everyone fit and also can we keep playing with such a high work rate for the rest of the season? Im not settling for top 10 anymore. Play offs again in all probability. But with some shrewd signings top 2 is very much for the taking. Get lucky with fitness and this lot could do it anyway. West Han should go up. But the way Allardyce plays is predictable and we should not fear them.
Yup the Scummers are feeling the pressure and West Ham are starting to wobble after a good spell, these lads we've got now don't seem to get effected by the very occasional set back and just get straight back in there, at last we have a manager/team with the sort of spirit that we can be proud of.
Expectation has gone up a notch since the start of the season Hilts. I was expecting top 10 with the chance of sneaking a playoff spot. There's still a long way to go, but I'm now anticipating the playoffs. Good enough to beat anyone in the league, but worry over the squad size, so hoping for autos rather than thinking we have a good chance of getting there. We need Malky to pull a rabbit or two out of the had during the transfer window and I think the expectation goes up another notch. Never a dull moment as a bluebird. Happy days.
