We have all gone on about our defence. And saying we need Elliott, in front of them but how fit is Marv at the moment has these injuries taken a toll and we are waiting in blind faith. But to me the biggest mistake and not Del's was the release of Cisse. I for one would not be upset if Del went back and asked the board to allow him to speak to Cisse again. I know he has not played this season but would not be surprised if he has kept himself fit waiting for a club to offer him a trial.
He seems to be just sitting on the shelf and perhaps he would bite our hand off if an offer was made. Always question as to why he isn't playing, is it because he's no good or does he have personal baggage too heavy to handle? If I remember correctly the general view during his time at City was that he put in a good shift and most were sad at his departure, so what has gone wrong to leave him in his current situation? Our current defensive woes shows, yet again, that we need better tenacity in that area of the field and unless we do something soon we will be in serious trouble again. Why are we so incapable of achieving stability in defence and midfield, a situation that has been allowed to fester for far too long. Begs the question as to whether it's us or them that is the problem?
This is a question i asked on here a few weeks ago. Cisse was under-rAted while here, and to make our arse of a defence look capable was quite an achievement. He would be the best signing we could make at the moment.
