Tell you what though, in the dry they were awesome. The bend and dip you could get on them was immense. Then you'd kick a mitre ball fully pumped up and it'd feel like kicking a brick!
Aye the up and down swerve was awesome. Then the time would come when the baloon would pop out one of rips in the patches and create a Tit, then the lad who brought it would get a huff and blame someone demanding a replacement. Of course tradition being at my school where only arsekissers and lads who wanted to be liked brought a ball. Some would even get a game.
Hahaha, yeah, you could always tell the school bag that had a ball inside, all nice and round at the top... thanks pal Of course just as the bell went for end of lunch time it would get booted about 200 yards down the road outside of school and the owner would end up in detention for being late back for class
I remember the goalie kicking it out on Hylton road field and i caught it square on the top of my head it felt as though i had 3ft of my spine stuck out my arse for the rest of the match.
