I just saw it and he was very complimentary. I don't really know how "just chugging along" can be perceived as an insult. He said we are the real deal and tipped us for promotion. I really hope this article is intended to be ironic.
My god people are touchy. Claridge is very fair and frequently complements us. He said "you'd be a fool to write them off".
Have no complaints about what Claridge said..he was complimentary and I loved 'the real deal' comment.
Nothing so exciting..poor night with a bad back..the joys of old age. However, it has meant that I have seen Saints goals about six times...can't complain about our coverage at moment.
Me too with the back and I'm only a spring chicken (ish) Waiting for my lad to get up before watching the goals. Did you goFran? From where I was sat, I couldn't be sure on either penalty.
Couldn't make this one. A photograph of 1st pen showed the Watford players arm made contact. Second pen looked like Lambert was shoved. No commentator questioned either, so assume both correct.
I think you'll find its Lamberts hand, at first I thought it was a Watford hand but on a second look it looks for sure its Lambert. I can see why the ref got it wrong, have a look at the Saints Gallery its more clearer there.
Sorry...cannot see how it's Lambert's hand. his is wrapped round their player's neck. Even their fans have admitted it.
Picture 9 clearly shows its Lambert hand, I'm not complaining but it was the wrong decision. As I said before from the linesman and refs position you would've thought it was a Watford player.
The first penalty was down the other end so cannot make a judgement. The second one was right in front of me and it was without doubt a penalty. However have seen them not given before. There possibly was a least one other "decent shout" for a penalty as well but they are rarely given these days. Every one says the first penalty was hand ball....has that been confirmed by the ref? Is it not possible that something happened prior to the hand ball incident? Lambert appealed surely where the ref was he should have seen it clearly.
We will obviously never convince you, but Lamberts arm is round the player's neck (possibly a foul in itself). There is no way his arm could turn at that angle..and it is also too long to be his arm.
