[Just a few more Here to find, Again past And present mind, Some are easy Some less so, Please feel free To have a go] 40 players to find - (and apologies to those who find these tedious, I must admit I find them more interesting to create, than solve ) When I was only just a boy A good few years ago, When sitting by a rippling brook With others in the know And fishing for a mullet, or A pike, as was the rage, Along the river´s banks all day Did not hold me engaged So as a daily task I gave Myself while sitting there, To write as many nicknames down Of clubs from everywhere And footie was the only game For me, back then in Thorpe, While hockey, rugby, cricket too Gave not the rush I sought So then I began thinking hard What other clubs like ours, Have feathered friends whose badge appears On shirts to give them power And Crystal Palace sprang to mind As Eagles they are known, And looking north east on the map There were some magpies shown Robins too I quickly found But no coot could be seen, But had an archer been around With bow and arrow keen He might have bagged a gull or two If taking some sea air, Down on a hill on the south coast Or in some birch woods near But leaving birds just for a sec Quite a few more I found, It was a lark in many ways Moving my camp around Now Sheffield U as we all know Are called the Blades for short, Maybe because they´re awful sharp If on them you get caught And Reading are a royal team Or so they like to call, Themselves, while Charlton are addicks With no vices at all And down in London too, I had Time to punt on the Thames, Near Putney, while looking again For football nickname gems And while I dashed on with my task Finding some that would please, I could find none any better Than our own Canaries.

Maestro, all present and correct, in fact I´ve just discovered, or rather you´ve just discovered an extra one, so there are 41 in all.
Ha! you reckon. In fact it was me looking past the obvious to find one who was less obvious, see if you can find who I mean, then perhaps we can start bartering.
