Top scorer this season, with only ten goals...reminds me so much of Malky’s promotion team! Goals from nearly all positions, 50 scored, but spread around! Getting a bit of a stiffy in anticipation! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Hoilett or Morrison for player of the season?

You're right masky, spread around. Difficult to defend that. You can't stiffle a whole team like you can one man.
It's why I argue against the 'we need to sign a 20 goal a season striker'. The last twice players got to 20 goals (whitts and chopra) we didn't even make the playoffs.

I wonder how many goals have come off the bench this season. I know ward and Ken have scored winners off the bench. How many more?
Strikers wingers midfielders centre backs and full backs all on the scoresheet. Not sure what etheridge is in the side for. Not seen any goal attemts from him so far.

Don't say it too loud, Vince will tell Coiln to drop him........<laugh>

Correct about goals from all over the park being a better option than relying on high scoring striker who could be crocked at any time. In our promotion season, our top scorer was Helguson with 9 goals - most of the goals (and there were a lot of them) came from midfield from memory.

If Hoilett gets a few more over the remaining dozen games he'll have far exceeded what was expected of him and maybe a very good job too. Big Ken was to be the main man on that front though there's still plenty of time for him to reach double figures.

I'd put Ralls into the mix too.

While we are all focused on the goal scorers, how about some praise for Etheridge?

We all had doubts at the start of the season but he has developed into an accomplished keeper. 16 clean sheets tells it's own story. Better on crosses than any of our keepers in the last 10 years. That in itself gives his defenders more confidence.

Not a bad shot stopper either.

Okay his distribution can still improve but that can be worked on.

Marshall was terrible kicking from the hand and from the floor, early on he used to flap at crosses.

At this stage Etheridge is far ahead and will be a far better keeper. IMO

Interesting how fortune plays it's part. Camp is out on loan when he was brought in to be first choice. Etherige could still be on the bench.

Think there might be a clause in his loan contract, that he must play in every game or we’ll fine the club! :emoticon-0103-cool:
