    James Lovelock, 103.

More ****e has been written about his Gaia hypothesis than possibly anything else in the past 50 years, but ultimately the principle of don't **** about with the Earth, it's the only one we've got always seemed to me to be a sensible one.

    RIP.

    Bernard Cribbins. RIP
    Great comedy actor.
I only saw him in 'She' the other day. That brought back loads of memories of going to Berkeley on Greenwich Ave, Bilton Grange on a satdee morning.
I remember him in ' Two Way stretch' with Peter Sellers and Lionel Jefferies, Irene Handle and others. Good laugh.

Was reading the tributes to him. Very popular bloke. George Martin produced Hole InThe Ground and Right Said Fred for him. Bernard was asked to sing Hole In The Ground at Martin’s memorial service. It went down very well with everybody.

His first season was probably my most enjoyable watching City. Not many of us at a lot of away games in his time but always had time for a word if you crossed paths with him.

    Sad news.

Started my love affair as a kid with City in the early 70s under the Terry Neill era.

    Seems so long ago now.

    RIP

Really sad news to hear of Terry Neill's passing, I used to see him push a pram around Swanland when he was at City. A true gentleman and gifted player RIP.

Terry Neill. Massive signing for City from Arsenal in 1970. He was their captain and he became our player manager. Created a huge surge of interest in the city when he came, 34,000 for the pre season Watney Cup game with Man Utd for example, E-Type Jag, show business people following City, even Jimmy Saville made a visit, Crowds of 20,000 to 29,000 for league games, but sadly curtailing off to just over 10,000 by the end of the season when our push for promotion faltered. Battle of Bramall Lane, Terry's Tigers Topple Table Toppers ( Leicester 3-0), Two up against Stoke in the FA Cup 6th Round, Sheffield Wednesday Boxing Day, 4-1 down with 10 minutes to go and drawing 4-4, Two up v Blackburn and then fogged off, Losing at home to Oxford 1-0 with a last minute goal, Ron Atkinson and his brother in Oxfords line up, same v Pompey at home, Ray Hiron ? some great memories from a great time following City. RIP Terry Neill.
