British people in the US are having BBQs, going to the beach and letting off fireworks thanking their lucky stars that America gained independence from the Brits.

Here in the Great White North we had our national celebration July 1st, a memorial date of great significance in Newfoundland & Labrador.

Kilburn, people these days are saying Blair should be tried for his stupidity in ordering British involvement in Iraq, but of course I think British generals had to be the most stupid war chiefs ever. The losses of the first world war, not just at the Somme , are horrific, but no one was ever held accountable.
