We are now financially stable, we have got rid of most of our players on big wages and we have a good young team who are capable of pushing for promotion this season. A lot has changed since the summer we appointed Pearson.
Would be brilliant - but even with the mutual respect between City and Joyce, would he really leave what could be a long-term stable career with the juniors at United for a potentially short one with City. As manager, he'll be lucky to last 5 years. Most don't last two. As assistant, he is dependant on whoever the gaffer is. If the new manager doesn't take, we could be looking for yet another manager come next summer, and he, like np did, may want to bring in his own back room. I just can't see what would be in this for Joyce.
Agree, with a young squad we need an experienced manager, preferably someone who's worked at this level before
The fact you said this means I am vindicated, I "beleave". You're the most cringeworthy poster on here. Fact. Experience over unnecessary risk or sentimentality any day. It's a pivotal point in the season.
