Very good question, although the timing may not always make it possible. I had thought that it's the fans fault that signings are made - there always seems to be an expectation, or possibly demand, that new players will be signed, but that doesn't seem to apply to us since the Academy started to bear fruit. There's now an undercurrent of 'why aren't the kids playing?' instead. And to add to the list of inexplicable signings - Sietes, Bonnot and Rinaldi. How annoying is it that we could sign them from overseas without a problem but we couldn't keep Demba Ba thanks to the Home Office?
