And to think a year ago he was lucky to get on our bench along with Gooch in favour of Ashley Fletcher who now plays for Boro U23's. I hate to bring Coleman up again, but he didn't have a fecking clue. Them 2 could have potentially kept us up.
He'd be crazy to go to City or Spurs at this stage of his career. They'd probably just loan him back to us or another champ/L1 club anyway. Stay here, develop and become a legend (or get sold for a great wodge of cash)!
This should be at the forefront of his mind. If it's not then Stuart Donald needs to put it there. So long as he keeps working hard, the big money move will always be there. He has a great platform to develop at SAFC - he just needs to use it
Jack Ross keeps saying that Josh is not the finished article and he's got a lot to learn. I don't think anybody watching him would disagree with that cos if you take away his goals he doesn't offer anything else to the team by means of effort off the ball. He's not going to learn these skills sitting on the bench at a top six club so if he's got anything between his ears he needs to stay put for this season at least.
I think we've discussed this earlier? For me the best option would be sell him for £6m if that figures accurate, but keep him on loan to the end of the season. Win-win for us. Jack gets money to spend and more Maja goals though to May. £6m is a lot of money to turn your nose up at for the new owners. Not sure that would be in the long term interest of the player though but the club is more important to me than the player, if that's what he decides he wants to do.
If we can sell for six+, plus a healthy % of any future sale Plus a cheap loan to end of season an an option on another 12 months if we get promoted Throw in Free food and drink at all away grounds for SAFC fans for life, and I’d be happy with a sale
