Quick one here. Any thoughts as to why the Joselu sale has been apparently "paused" for the last two weeks but the apparent Perez sale seems to be going through?
Cos we'll get **** all for Joselu and he's on peanuts, and we're gonna get rid of Perez for £30m and get one of our highest earners off the wage bill. Joselu will be our new No9 next season! Simple maths my boy!
Or Ayoze Perez has a release clause in his contract which means the club has no choice and the takeover has no affect on this legal situation. Whereas, the Joselu transfer would not be allowed at this stage until takeover is complete or over.
Takeover progress is dismal, it's quite clearly not happening, at least not in the short-term. If they let Joselu go they will have to replace him due to the limited first team squad numbers. It makes fiscal sense to keep him if you are going to be a tight, negligent bastard...Ladies and Gents... May I present, Mike Ashley.
