    From The Journal today...

He's off, there's no doubt about it. Let's just hope Ashley puts his money where (Pardew's) mouth is and forks out for a decent replacement.

Well it's not confirmed so you never know but this looks like a heads up from Pardew, trying to soften the blow if you like.

Nothing new there really AP, we were all expecting it, this is the start of it all being trickled to us via the press, probably to avoid ill feeling towards the board, I just hope he leaves the UK.

I wouldn't play him tomorrow if he wants to say goodbye and tell us he's off he can do it on the appreciation lap. We dont need another performance when he's just sulking around the pitch and going through the motions.

I ****ing hope he isnt joining Amy thats if the journal is wrong
I wouldn't begrudge him a move to Manure though.

He actually played half decently against chelsea though. And anyway having to play fergue left backs not going to help our midfield selection troubles

Spot on CBP. If he's not 100% committed to NUFC he can **** off with my blessing.

The games before that though he gave half hearted performances imo.
Why not give Matthew Grieve a run out at left back, I think he's our reserve full back anyway, give a young kid who is fully committed a day to remember.

We should drop the ****er for the last game, put Fergie at left back, LuaLua on the wing, give the shirt to someone who gives a toss, I've been saying it for weeks.

He got MOTM agains Chelsea, was ****ing class!

As for the OP, I think he is off, but he has come out himself recently and said he wants to see how the club invest in the summer. This means we NEED to buy well and buy early!

If we dick about for 3/4 weeks bringing in 1 or 2 free's then what ambition does that show? We've got the targets, we've apparently made noises before the window has opened. Get it done Pardew!

I'd rather we play a strong defence tbh. Give some of the more established young un's a run out but we still need to win and finish the season on a high.

A top player, but he is a left back, and not irreplaceable at all. Barton would be far harder to replace if he were to leave. I'll be sad when Enrique leaves, but he is replaceable.

This might cheer us up though:

Aye understand your point and we all want to win. Left back to me isn't really a position that would significantly threaten our chances in this match.

I'm sure Tavs would do well at LB for us. Got great faith in him.

I hate Derek so much. He sounds like such an awkward ****er.

And Jose is really starting to irritate me as well.

I can't be arsed with the whole settling in period a new left back would need, especially if he is from abroad and takes as long as Jose did to adapt to the English game....
