    No, a holding mid is someone who sits infront of the back four like Makelele.

    I think you're confusing holding midfielder with central midfielder here..

    cant help but think if this was the sunderland board you would be getting the comments deleted by now and trying to get people banned.

    i come on here for some sensible football talk and all i see is comparisons between jose... a defender and gyan... a striker hmmm... and that lucas is an awesome midfielder because he plays for brazil.... does he have an many caps as kleberson yet? oh yeah... brazil international right there, ****in muppets haha

    There is some right old ****e on this thread like.

    Barton better than Gerrard, no chance. ( although a very good player).

    Lucas better than Tiote because he plays for Brazil. They are hardly renowned for their production of world class holding/defensive midfielders lol.

    I prefer to watch the players when deciding who is better. Lucas is just average at best so going for Tiote on this one.

    As for Gordon or Mig getting in the liverpool team. If you could guarentee Gordon on top form maybe, alas he is inconsistent so again Reina all day long for me.
