No not the big boobed waste of space slapper, but our very own Jordan Henderson. He's not exactly set the world alight at Liverpool, if he was available for a cut price would you have him back? Personally I don't think we miss him at all and even for a quarter of the price we sold him for, I don't think we need him. Also more controversially, would you take Andy Carroll? I probably would, with McLean and Seb providing him with quality crosses I reckon he would do well with us.
It would be very interesting to see what Carroll thinks about his boyhood team and their fans now, after the vitriol of unheralded abuse he got when he went back there last weekend. Carrolls mother is a mackem by all accounts and it was only his barcode father that turned him that darkside way. Wonder if his dad was equally hurt by the abuse his own fans turned on his son. Bet he would love to score against them now and in a Sunderland shirt it would be even sweeter. If I had a son that wa s so abused by Sunderland fans, and I still dont know why he was so abused because he didnt want to go, was forced out and got them £35m to go and buy Cisse, Santon, and Ba AND pay all their wages for 2 years, I'd be devastated and angry to be honest. Your kids are your kids and come way before your football club. Would I sign him? Mmmm. Difficult one. Henderson? No. He couldnt fit back anywhere in our team now.
I'd take both, for a combined maximum of £8million. A penny more, and they can dust my balls. I don't WANT either, of course, they simply aren't next level players.
i liked hendo, but i think we can do better now. good call by cest about carroll. I loved hendo, and he could hit a great cross in on the move, but seb is above his level. He needs to bring back the nutmeg, when he first started playing for us he was great
Been saying for a long time now and on quite a few posts that carroll would fit into MONs style of play. Hendo. No not at all.
I couldn't understand the abuse that Carroll got from the Mags; what was all that about?...I would have them both at SAFC, but I don't think that Liverpool would let them go for the combined price of 8 to 10 million, which I believe is their worth..
Mandy is craving the love and affection of a proper club, if the price was right, i recon he would willingly come to us now, to get them mags back in the Derby, better shout than Hesky, and i think the love for the dark side has gone now, and he could fit in our team well
I would have to agree - I can't see ether of them would take us further. The truth is that both of them should have stayed where they were for a couple of more seasons to fully learn their trade instead of taking the coin to move on - both are a great lesson for McClean to stay where he is
