20yr old midfielder set to join on loan.
    Anybody know about him?

I liked the comment on twtd where somebody said that it looks like we are willing to spend more time and effort on other teams youngsters than our own.

If true, a VERY VERY good player.

    Right age too.

Hope he does more for us than the young Villa loanee however,,,, that was a waste of everyones time and dosh. Think he'll do well.

    Palace fan viewpoint....

Gutted. Has the potential to be better than zaha given the chance imo. When he plays we play with a much higher tempo going forward and even if not a starter I would use him as an impact player from the bench. We have seen time and time again his impact coming on as a sub, not only when we are in a losing position but also when we are winning as he keeps the ball and takes us up the pitch. We killed off so many games last season when he came on because the opposition couldn't get the ball off him.

So not much chance of us buying him if he's well rated. So long as brings something different to the table I guess.

No chance of being permanant, sounds v good, at last a bit of creativity but now we dont have anyone for him to create for, lol!! Need a striker and then things may start to look up

very interesting signing.. at 5'6 he clearly isn't the Tony Pulis archetypal midfielder... but then you could argue that he doesn't seem to be a MM midfielder either :emoticon-0104-surpr

Good news though and hopefully he can add some urgency and intent to our overly cautious midfield

It may be good if we are still aiming for the play offs but without our star player it may be a large ask. If we are looking like being in this division next season (my personal view) then I would prefer to blood our own youngsters/ sign players on loan with a view to joining in the summer.
Dont mean to knock a good player but just want whats best for the club for the next 3 years not 3 months

Possibly a silly idea but could we be using him in the deeper McGoldrick role?
David Wright has told BBC that Williams is excellent at finding the pockets of space and can get at the back 4. He can play anywhere across the midfield area so I wonder if we are going to give him a free role behind Murphy? or will we just use him as a conventional midfielder?

Hardly breaking the bank is he! <doh>

We have saved on Tunners Wages for a start and I would assume that Palace will part fund his wages for a month!

While being "on Spanish's side" may not be a popular place to be I also get tired of ME receiving noting but abuse. Yes I think MM has missed out on some targets because of financial constraints, but I very much doubt he took the job without knowing he finances he had available and I think he is genuinely happy with what he has.

I think far from losing interest in being our owner he's ensuring the foundations so he can continue to viably be the owner by attempting to get our finances in order and, hopefully, making the club self sufficient.
