I was always conviced he was going to make it, A4L but I'm really surprised that he's more than holding his own in the Prem already - I still think he's going to play for England one day.

I highly doubt we'll be seeing any Liverpool loanees at The Valley any time soon tbh. I'm still annoyed at the fee we received for Jonjo at the time - £1.7 million wasn't it? Should have been a lot more.
It was £1.7m that summer (but because we needed it within weeks it was reduced to £1.5m) plus add-ons which could take it up to £3m. I think it is £50k at 10,20,30 etc first team games plus more for international caps
Cheers I don't think there's any doubt that he has the talent to play for England, but I just wonder if he might become the Matt Le Tissier of his generation - gifted but not really given a chance because of a perceived lack of defensive work.
