I'll tell you a fing joke - you have probably heard it from me because I have told it time and time again ever since GJ left. In fact, every dressing room at every club other than ours are rolling around laughing at it:
    OUR DEFENCE

Perhaps the hope is the opposition will be laughing so much at this joke that they won't be able to concentrate on their game and won't see properly due to tears in their eyes!

According to the comment on our OS we played better in the second half but let ourselves down by failing to defend against a set piece - again.
I would be interested to know how many set pieces we have conceded from so far this season - and I expect opposition managers have studied these stats when preparing to play us.

Well we go into every game 1 nil down. The defence is that poor. Something needs to be done in January, Both in management and players

I agree Shiny. The thing is, we see the same old same old.
We need a tough no nonsense leader to marshal our defence - a Shaun Derry type or like Louis used to be a couple of seasons ago.
I don't think the players lack ability, they lack leadership. It's too polite out there.
DM needs to get scouting NOW for a leader - why not let Louis have a say as to who his successor is?
I don't blame Fonts and I certainly don't think blaming him on here is helpful - he should never have been asked to do what is beyond him.

Which is what, Become a footballer. He's been terrible all season. Theres nobody else to blame bar him. Id rather see Louis in the team tbh! that's how bads its getting. Louis was dropped when we we're on form, When we was in the top half of the table since then he hasn't had a look in, Except Middlesbrough away, Perhaps his experience is what we need. perhaps for the Fa cup game we can be a bit experimental

    Gerken

    Bates Carey McManus
    Foster---------------------Cunningham
    Adomah Skuse Anderson
    Baldock Davies

Would let gerken have a go, Heatons confidence must be shot to pieces and perhaps a different figure in goal. Carey for experience. Baldock and Davies up front as our 2 best strikers

Yep. Most loyal to the club and you know out of all the players on the pitch he would want the win the most

Just realised today was danns last game and Leicester have refused us to let him play in the cup, So I would change him for Skuse

Doesnt matter who the captain is because the ship doesnt have a rudder.
Personally I wouldnt let Fontaine in the ground

Del is going to have to perform miracles in the transfer window, then again on the training pitch, then again in the dressing room

I wasn't about this afternoon so don't know how it went (other than what I read here) but the team change was enforced today with Foster's injury..

Davies didn't look fit to me when he came on against P/boro. Not unfit as in blowing but when he did that sprint down the line he seemed to look down as if to check he hadn't torn anything....

To me, Del is trying to outwit the opposition in every game. This worked successfully combating P/boro's unusual formation however the problem is that no matter how much you think you can out think the opposition, YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE PLAYERS CAPABLE OF EXECUTING THE PLAN...!

Picking Fontaine today was a big mistake HOWEVER, he wasn't on the pitch when we let in yet another set piece....

To those considering slitting their wrists (again), how about we see the quality of the replacements bought in HOWEVER I say to DM and SL that this HAS TO HAPPEN NOW...!

We CANNOT do the thing that we do EVERY year which is to wait until the end of January - we simply cannot do this as we have 3 really tough games and we need reinforcements, and we need them NOW
