Slavisa Jokanovic was ‘unveiled’ by the Club today at a press conference. please log in to view this image As you might imagine it was more sound bites than anything else. However he did come over as a confident and, dare I say it, ambitious person - “I believe in myself, I believe in this Club, I believe in the people. Now we must push ourselves.” And he did say one interesting thing about the team – “I've only been here 20 hours but we've spoken [with “Stu”] about bringing in loan players in January” Understand the Club will be doing some sort of podcast/video later with him and the delightful Sarah, so we might get to know a little more about his plans for the team then.
I'm looking forward to watching the boys against Sheffield on Saturday. Should be fun! My first live game at a new managers first game!
Here's the link to his first interview, he sounds very positive. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2015/december/30/welcome-slavisa
Could be lots of reasons, really. No real challenge in the job in Israel (like managing Celtic in Scotland). Better prospects for building a team in his own image (transfer embargoes permitting) More money instantly and also in the future (Khan must be richer than Maccabi's owner). The lure of London and (potentially) managing a team in the richest league in the world. Prefers working in Europe. Lifestyle in England is better (i.e. a war with your neighbours erupting on your doorstep is unlikely) He really like black and white kits (bit less likely this one)
Agree totally with this, you could even roll it up into "To come to manage Fulham", I did the abridged version
