The Scottish Sun are claiming we're in for these two. Russell plays for Dundee Utd and Templeton is at Hearts, both under 24 and I'd say both future Scotland regulars. Russell is a quick, strong forward who scored 14 goals for Dundee Utd last season and can also play attacking midfield. Templeton is a quick, skilful winger. Both would be great signings IMO.
highly regarded is templeton so if we managed to land him would be a good signing - question tho would we be getting him to replace snoddy>
I hope TheRobbieRogers.com will step up to the plate, hope hes fully recovered from his black eye once the season starts
Why? Not really had a chance but looked promising when given one. Not as if he has a history of injury either, just unlucky with us.
Yea I agree if with this. Looked alright when he did play and I wish we'd seen a bit more of him last season but he was unlucky with injury
You just have to look at his website and the guy himself to see he is a fairy cake, he will always be on the treatment table - He has played 113 club games since 2007 - I might be being unfair on him, I was just dead set against him joining, something about him I just cannot take to.
rogers will surprise a few this season i reckon, providing he stays fit. as for the other 2 lads, dont know too much about them but their ages are what appeal to me. young, hungry and plenty of improvement in them
What a nasty way your mind works. Such massive negativity. The desire to be right on a forum overtakes the desire for LUFC and its players to improve and work as a great unit. You really are a nasty piece of work, especially after your previous comment about Rogers.
And this is based on? Pathetic comment really. I think he will more likely start as a bench player, and will be expected to perform to earn a first team place, I, like all Leeds fans havent really seen enough to judge that yet.
Bit unfair I think. I see a player who is really grateful to be playing for Leeds United and is desperate to prove himself, exactly the kind of player you need in your squad.
Agreed, but so is Andy Gray, who asked Leeds to give him a chance and so far has done very well. I'm all for giving everyone their chance, but perhaps we have too many that require this within the squad and trialists.
In my view in a squad you want to have quality starting players and back-up behind them who are desperate to prove themselves every time they get a chance rather than players who are possibly better quality but are happy to sit around and collect their wage.
I have a fear that Rogers is the new Grella, he will get a few subs appearances and then be sent out on loan to a few clubs, then he'll sit on the bench for months before joining a lower league club. Andy Gray looks to me the type of player who knows he will not start every week and when he does come on, will bag a few goals and give 100%. That's not to say Rogers wouldn't do the same, we don't know as we have hardly seen him. I'm not sure if any of that makes sense!
