Don't like terry much but never looked like a case was proven.

Quite right. The guy's a massive ****er but I'm pretty sure he's not actually a racist, just an idiot.

Anton's case got more and more unreliable by the day, and I've been expecting Terry to be cleared for a while now. I must admit I had prejudged him as a racist before, but I'm willing to take that back.

I thought Anton had heard something and thought he had no reason to lie, but the case was blown out of the water as soon as it was evident he had heard nothing. This came to court because of high profiles of people concerned, but was a complete waste of taxpayers time and money, especially when you consider the truly racist stuff that some have to put up with.

Sorry, Terrys defence was that he was simply repeating what Ferdinand had said back to him? So Ferdinand called Terry a f**king black c**t...?

    Am i missing something there?

    I think it was more like;

    'I didn't call you a ..........................'

Only me who doesn't understand what's racist about calling someone a ****ing black ****? If someone called me a ****ing white **** I wouldn't consider it racist. If he said "you're a **** because you're black" it's different. John Terry is a ****ing white ****, does that make me racist?

Don't imagine this has done much for Terry's PR image. Hopefully we've finally heard enough about all this.

No because its only racist if its about a black person. Like sexism is only if its a woman.

Political correctness gone mad i think is the phrase.

Yes, that is the overused, bullshit, Daily Mail phrase. Any person can be a target of racism, but it's considered to be more offensive if that person is a minority. Sexism also can work both ways.

According to the dictionary, yes. In the real world, no.

Based on what the prosecution offered, there was never really any chance of him being guilty.

Historically, women have been 2nd class citizens and men haven't as far as I'm aware. Still, you'll find the occasional case of sexism towards men. Sheila's Wheels was ruled to have breached gender equality rules last year.

I agree that Loose Women is sexist. But its a hugely popular and long running show. Showing that because they are women its ok.

Like if Ferdinand called Terry a white c**t you wouldnt even have heard about it. But because in this case its about a black person its racist.

    Double standards.

Also, would someone please tell me why as a male I am not allowed to run Race for Life..? There would be uproar if there was a similar event that was males only..

TBH, I'm glad Terry has been cleared. Twat though he is, I never for one moment thought he was a racist. He's played with and against black players throughout his career with no problems.
