Brilliant, one of the funniest things I've seen on telly for a long time. Pure joy and kudos to the marketing department for not going all slushy on the Christmas theme. #Bustertheboxer
Amazingly people getting pissed off that it shows urban foxes as cute cuddly things. Though of course urban foxes are vermin, and a real life version of the ad would have them ****ting their noxious **** all over the trampoline, the dog diving straight in it and the family spending Christmas morning cleaning the dog and the trampoline up. Bah humbug.
The theme and story get 10/10 from me and Adam and Eve have been trying to smash the xmas slush for years ... they have their wish Pretty sure my company did the post production yet again Top talent and interested as usually the concept will work its way down to designers like me ... So I know what my pet insurance designs briefs are already Will make all the others look pointless from now on
I do however know it cost a lot more than £6m over six months that has been banded about and students have done equal work for £600 in six weeks
Honestly thought last years man in the moon one was better. But having just seen M&Ss entire ad break's worth, the John Lewis one looks like Citizen Kane.
Crazy world when you think of the budgets just for ads that now has little impact on sales ... its the fear of not doing one that keeps it going With The biggest shopping day now in November things will change I believe 6m quid on very little of a message Lidl will do just as well JL are a good company and this is more sbout keeping the public perception high. As said before best client I work for but crazy that UK culture now map out their locations lifestyles and environments by a supermarket Last years JL wasn't that successful as it was buried following undertones of old men looking st children daft of course but that was the feeling
That's the one Beth. Though here is a more current version. And thanks to Giles Coren for; @BustertheDog: When you wait all your life for a break, get the John Lewis gig, then are read as an allegory for a drooling beast jumping on the dreams of black families all over the world..........#TearsOfAHound
