"Gutted to hear about the manager losing his job. We have to stick together as a club at times like these and believe in those above I'd like to thank Neil, Keith and Mick personally for all they did whilst I was here and wish them all the best in the future. Mr Warnock's record at Championship level speaks for itself, no doubt he'll be kick started another promotion dream before the seasons out! As a football club, we must look forwards now and try our utmost to attain Premiership status for next season. "The king is dead........"
Whoever come in hopefully Joey, SWP and Ferdinand will start showing us fans what they are really capable of
Only if you're looking for a negative in everything the guy does??? Why not focus on 'I'd like to thank Neil, Keith and Mick personally for all they did whilst I was here and wish them all the best in the future.......no doubt he'll be kick started another promotion dream before the seasons out!'
I don't think that what he meant, he know NW got Qpr up on a shoes string budget. He just trying to pay him a compliment.
74, honestly not looking for negatives and I am more of a Barton fan than detractor. It's just the way it read to me. Delighted to be wrong. We now need strong leadership from whomever comes in as manager.
That's a put down. Remove "at Championship level" and it's fine, no need to put that in there. And for the record, i'm no Barton knocker.
I think the fact NW has had success at Champiobship level is highlighted there as if JB had saidhis success at Premiership level would mean nowt and that would be a slap in the face. I think we may all just read too much into what is said by JB. The fact he ended it the King is dead.... shows respect as he has called NW king and didnt use his first name but Mr another sign of respect.... just my take on the matter.
Hey, let's all believe it was well meant. We all need to be positive and pull together at this trying time.
There is not a cat in hell's chance of Warnock getting a Premiership job, so the Championship is the best he can hope for (if he wants to stay in management). That is where he has had great success. Maybe Joey's remarks were an intentional put down, maybe they weren't. People will make of his remarks what best suits their own views and agendas.
Its not a put down at all. Too many conspiracy theorists here tonight. Neil will take over at Leeds or Forest within a couple of weeks...
Joey's a known serial tweeter. It would have been the biggest put down had he tweeted nothing at all. Difficult position to be in but what he's said in the OP has more respect and kind words than the lesser grains of truth. Time to move on, no?
Conspiracy theory - Barton was rumoured to have put in a transfer request a few days ago, then there was the rumour the transfer fund had been put on hold. Could the transfer request have been the catalyst for the removal of Warnock?
If only Barton played football for us (funnily enough IT's what he is paid to do so bloody well) as well as he tweets then maybe we would be higher up the table!!
