your team need a result to guarantee premiership survival so what do you do? get yourself sent off for a stupid, petulant act and leave your team to battle without you. what a total brainless pillock. if coopeearr have any sense they will offload him in the summer, if anyone is stupid enough to take him off their hands.
Going to be banned for 5 games minimum, there were at least 3 red card offences: 1) Elbowing Tevez 2) Kicking Aguero 3) Attempted Headbutt on Kompany 4) Mouthing off to Balotelli QPR have two options: A) Keep him since the anger was frustration at being "at the time" relegated B) Sell him, but who will take him/pay for him/risk having him? We can now look forward to the QPR transfer chaos, as they face the impossible task of shifting deadwood, and buying new better players. It's going to costs an absolute bomb!!! Imagine the bonuses!!!
As far as I can work out, 3 separate offences in the space of 1 minute could have warranted a straight red card They guy is a maniac and needs to put out to pasture in a very isolated area. Having said that he would still probably start a fight with no-one anywhere near him.
For those that like gratuitous violence. Even as he is on the way to the tunnel you can see he is so worked up and spoiling for yet more confrontation.
Doesn't show what he did to Tevez but that knee on Aguero wasn't clever, just like Terry's knee on Sanchez. The attempted headbutt on Kompany was pathetic as well. Good on Micah Richards calming him down but he wasn't happy with the QPR staff taking him off. Also, Balotelli should not have come off the bench, it certainly didn't help the situation.
I know the reaction of some of the Man City players did nothing to defuse the situation but that does not excuse his own actions, they guy has some serious problems.
This video shows a good angle of the elbow on Tevez. What makes the kick on Aguero worse is there was no confrontation or words between the two and Aguero was looking away. His actions walking off the pitch were pathetic and childish as well!
I'm not excusing what Barton did at all- the bloke is clearly an animal. However, yet again an official manages to completely miss the big club player's 'violent' conduct and spot the small club's from 50 yards away. Aguero went down like a right tart too. Again, though, not excusing Barton.
ok, that gives me a view of the initial incident that I had not seen before. The initial tangle between the two players was nothing, the 'elbow' by Barton again was nothing and Tevez made a meal of it. I would not argue against either of those two statements but once again JB finds himself in a position where he leaves himself wide open to being shown a red card because of the intent. What follows there is no point in discussing any further, his actions speak volumes.
Tevez should not have gone to the floor, but the close up shows it was a pretty nasty elbow to tevezs face.
Just like Brad Johnson shouldn't have gone on the floor, Barton just doesn't learn. You swing your elbow towards someone's face you get sent off. Tevez took advantage and I don't blame him, that gives them advantage to get title. Elbowing is a red card offence, sadly if Tevez hadn't gone down he would not have been sent off for it, that's the problem. He had to go down for Barton to get a red card.
Barton's behaviour inexcusable, has really harmed any prospect of staying with us or anyone else signing him. Shame really because a on song Joey Barton is a tremendous plus to any team. I do believe Tevez strikes first though, he hits Joey with a swinging right arm over the shoulder Joey and he reacts, in exactly the wrong way. He should have taken a leaf out of Johnson's book by now and gone down like a sack of spuds telling Tevez his breath smells
