Putting this to bed, he's a DM - a bloody good one that could become a bloody brilliant one. He does however need instructed not to step foot in the opponents area. ever....EVER.....EVER.....EVER again.
Nope if he scores from now on it needs to be screamers from half way through the opponents half, not bouncing off his face then his arse then deflecting into the net.
The thing is Joelinton is capable of striking a ball. I don't think he's ever going to be a goal scorer, but I do think he's capable 5 to 10 a season of he gets his confidence back in the final 3rd. He almost cares too much and he can't contain the adrenaline in the box.. Funnily enough it's that very same adrenaline that makes him so competitive in the middle. I think he's a tremendous cm, but I do also believe he could develop into something even better with the right coaching.
He also links up play well and doesn’t just go for the easy option. He is trying to create space and his movement is excellent. Im more than happy with his development. Last week he took a booking (it was actually a taking one for the team as they where counter attacking) and his discipline for the rest of the game was marvellous.
Probably. Shelvey will do something daft because he knows his days are numbered. To be fair he’s actually played ok aswell. Probably because he knows what’s at stake. Bruno won’t start again today. Howe more or less confirmed it.
I might be wrong here but I’m sure he scored his first goal (on his debut maybe) in a win over West Ham.
He did make his debut and was influential in two goals but his first goal was against Brighton. So I was half right. Lol
