Will Moyes give the lad his chance ?

Looks the most exciting attacking prospect to come through since Bridges.

Looking at what he did with Rooney and Barkley I'd say there's a good chance he'll feature.

I think Moyes will give him a good chance, same for all the yoof that show potential. I haven't seen much of him but my instinct from what I have tells me that he's going to be a very good player.

Im excited to see how Asoro develops. He could be a hidden gem for us this season. Abit like Rashford was for Man Utd second half of the season.

Be careful for what you wish for.....
If he storms onto the stage like Rashford, Ellis will sell him in Jan <steam>

We've had a few exciting prospects over the years...
Michael Reddy - Did nowt (apart from his Boro goal)
Mickey Bridges - Did okay, was gutted when he left
Duncan Watmore - Big season for the lad but doing okay

It's about time we unearthed a star <wizard>

Asoro looks a cracking prospect :emoticon-0148-yes:

The fact nearly every top club in europe wanted him when he signed for us about 18months ago suggests he could be the real deal. Feck knows how we persuaded him here?

Sunderland have signed 16-year-old Swedish striker Joel Asoro from Brommapojkarna on a four-year deal.

Asoro had been interesting Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Everton and Red Bull Salzburg but after visiting several of the interested clubs, and training with both Manchester United and Chelsea, has decided that his future lies at the Stadium of Light.

    His agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, explained why his client had chosen Sunderland, telling Swedish newspaper aftonbladet;

"We have carefully gone through all the options and Sunderland have certainly shown that they have a plan to make him a Premier League player in the future. This really feels like the best option. He will move to Sunderland with his mother."

The striker, described by Cetinkaya as fast, skilful and a 'fox in the box', has already undergone a medical with the club and will be expected to join up with his new academy team-mates at the start of pre-season training in July.

Swedish superkid Joel Asoro is wanted by England's biggest clubs.

The 15 year-old Brommapojkarna prospect has had FOUR rounds of tests with Manchester United and this Sunday will be training at Chelsea.

Juventus, Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Red Bull Salzburg are also in contact with the youngster's representatives.

"Interest is high. I have for 15 years worked as a scout for Manchester United in Sweden and Finland so I have been with him over at United four times," revealed Brommapojkarna youth chief Tommy Soderstrom to fotbollskanalen.se.

"It won't be long before he leaves. John Guidetti left BP at 16.

"We'll see what happens. There are several optio

I remember reading about him when he signed and feeling excited. Hopefully this could be his breakthrough year. Its not as though hes got alot of competion for a first team slot at the moment.
