What do you guys think about the possibility (well rumour) of you trying to sign ex Norwich goalkeeper Joe Lewis? I've seen you a few times and you certainly need a new keeper
Have to say from what I have seen of him recently he looks very poor. Shame he was a good prospect at Norwich. Sadly he may not be worse than your current keepers though. I watched Ipswich a few times last season (had to have a good shower after been amongst your fans )as your first team coach used to be my manager. You happy with the coaching team and manager? From what I saw you need a few new players. The team lacks speed and mobility, although they are quite a big physical team From the bits I have seen I imagine a GK, CB, RB, RM, CM and ST is the minimum you require to put together a promotion push. As much as your struggles have been enjoyed by many Norwich fans it would be good to resume our rivalry in the prem. And we would be guaranteed 6 points!
After the Andy Marshall debacle you would have thought that we would steer clear of any goalkeeper that has links with Norwich!
Highly rated for a while but havent seen enough of him to have an opinion really. I tend not to look at the goals against column when judging a keeper - you could be a superstar but with no help from your defence you will still concede loads - as we proved this season.
I think this may well be a case of needing a new club to bring out the best in him. He was very good at Posh when he first arrived but for some reason has not pushed on from there. He may well be worth a shout, along with another keeper. I still think we should go on for Scott Loach at Watford, about to enter his last year of his contract and is not 1st choice atm. 3 young keepers on the books all with 1st team experience at this level...
avoid joe lewis like the plague on second thoughts, i know he's a freebie but instead sign him for £10m (we have a 40% sell on clause) and play him every week. it'll be hilarious

Some of you people are as bad as Clegg and Jewell - interested in anyone who would remotely consider coming to the Club. My word - How things have changed ?? - most definately NOT for the better.

As a POSH fan I would plead with your club do not sign this guy,even on a free transfer. Cannot command his box (he never talks) He cannot catch crosses even under no pressure, poor kicking, he is petrified of getting hurt and the list goes on. Gave no confidence to the defence, no wonder we let so many goals in. You may say he was part of three promotion winning teams,and he was. However this was due to the prolific three strikers M-Smith, Mc Lean & Boyd who scored enough goals to cover for his mistakes. If he was any good why did nobody come in to sign him when he was regular England U21 and even full team squad member for a few games plus the three prmotions all achieved whilst at POSH DO NOT SIGN HIM
