A good egg is Joe Hart. He applauded Cesar for his save from Barry's late first half shot. He received a generous rounds of applause from the LR faithful whilst heading towards our goal to start the second half and responded well to the songs aimed at him re shampoo ads. He also gave all the home support a round of applause at the end of the game. He then went and hugged Cesar and swapped shirts with him at the final whistle. Only small things, but to me they mean a lot in today's sterile age. Good show Joe.
its the way players should act on the field, most keepers do seem to have respect for their opposite numbers
Good on you Nines for ackowledging it. I heard the commentators say that he applauded Cesars save, thanks for confirming it. Football chivalry isn't dead. On this evidence you'll have an England goalkeeper who's well liked up and down the country. It shouldn't be underestimated what that could mean for Englands future chances.
Yes, there is nothing like good sportsmanship ............... well done Joe. Fact is though, I wouldn't swap Hail Cesar for the world. Brilliant stuff!
Was great to see that last night. Good sport. One of the best keepers I've seen also. I always enjoy playing City , have through-out the years , always feels like a proper game played the right way. Good bunch City, with or without their billions.
Well he kept City in the first game with Real Madrid. Had 10 great saves at least. But I wouldn't say the best
Lot to like about him - loved some of his reactions after CL losses this year, and a gent last night. Now England just need 10 outfield players to go with him.
While we're talking about goalkeepers, I see butland has turned down the scum because he wants to play regular football. Well done lad.
Glad you started this thread. He provided good entertainment last night and was a really good sport abut the ribbing re the shampoo, even dusting off his shoulders when we started singing about his dandruff! Well done Joe - great sportsmanship with the respect for JC too.
I like the fella, his decision for his age is very good. Mark my words, barring major injury, he'll be the most capped England player of all time.
Is he Rainman ? He's still England's No 1 keeper while you're still a bellend Thought a point apiece was probably about fair. Nice to see nedum showing what he's capable of,he was outstanding last night
