Bath yesterday. Lady Heartbeat - Ryan Powell5 Tracked leaders halfway and not clear run behind horses inside final 2f, switched right final 120yds and stayed on close home but not reach leaders (tchd 7-2) 4 runners
I remember Jamie Spencer in a 4 runner 6f maiden at Bath, he's on the long odds on favourite and should win the race easily as long as he can keep out of trouble. First of all he misses the break costing himself 5 lenghs on the field, though his horse is so superior to the rest, he can still win cosily, he gets back on terms and his mount is visually galloping all over his rivals, he is still cruising whilst his rivals are hard ridden, all he has to do is keep his horse out of trouble in a 4 runner race and he cruises to victory, what does he do, try's to go through a gap that isn't there and runs into the back of one of his rivals and ends up on the deck. Then as I was calling him every name under the son having lost a fortune, the commentator had to go and throw salt in my wounds, by saying 'Jamie Spencer is up on his feet' I was hoping to see the ambulance
Brilliant. Next time someone says to anyone "That's pocket talk" we can do a Crocodile Dundee response. "That's not pocket talk, this is pocket talk"
