Weird how so many people knew and yet they kept quiet...... As a father of 3 small kids, if some Pervy old bastard tried touching them I would quite happily do a lengthy prison sentence for torturing him to death charity doing celebrity or not.... I'm pretty sure that there are still organized ***** s working in the tv and media industry, most of the presenters on bbc kids tv obviously sucked a few people's nobs to get the cbeebies gig... Most are arse bandits...
On Sky News this morning a Nurse has come forward and said that she saw JS molest a brain damaged girl... WTF?! why did she not report it at the time, as a Nurse its her duty was to look after that patient...

A lot of careful wording going out. This reminds me of some of the statement being made by all the various parties commenting on the Leeds takeovers. Every statement begs new questions. eg. "Andrew Bannister, trust spokesman, said: "Two individuals have contacted the hospital to share their concerns about things that happened with Jimmy Savile in the 70s but these contacts have only come to light in the last few days since the upsurge of publicity." At first sight, that reads like these "two individuals" only mentioned it in the last week (in which case I agree, why did the nurse not say something before? - though, maybe she fancied keeping her job, might be the answer) but the words "only come to light in the last few days" could mean that, or that the complaint was some time ago and its only now they can be ar se d to do anything. I can't understand why the reporters don't put people on the spot, the obvious questions are... obvious. WHEN was it reported, etc re what the23 wrote, it is amazing no parent took some action (not necessarily one involving a sharp instrument, I can think of legal things that could be done - had that been my 13 year old daughter). Final thing - there is an interview on you tube with the Nolan sisters, which is about other stuff but covers JS as well, saying what you would (now) expect. And a clip of him with his arm around the hips of 14 year old Colleen Nolan on Top of the pops....even on national tv he was way over the top in how he was touching a 14 year old. But none of us noticed...... well I didn't anyway, I thought he was a bit weird, ineffectual but harmless and did a lot of good work.
What I don't get is if all of these stories are genuine, why didn't plod put a case together whilst JS was still alive & able to either admit guilt or defend himself. I recall hearing years ago that he was no angel. But the stories hitting the press at the moment call into question WTF were plod doing in the 70s & 80s..... if of course all these stories have probative value.
Plod did bring him in and question him, then sent files over to the CPS, it was them who decided not to prosecute.
I remember when I was at school in the late 50,s a 15 year old girl in my class told me she had been asked to go to London with Saville I said who on earth would want to go with that freak.!At the time she was 15 and h would be 31 I have seen him since many times but I have refused to talk to him My wife used to do his hair tartan she told me he asked her to go to London with him she said no thank you
I'm interested in the rumours about his life as a club owner. Apparently well connected with organized crime in Leeds and East London (Krays), and was possibly involved in extorting other venues in Town, forcing them to use his 'firm' of doormen, who would rule the establishments with an iron fist and take any rivals down to cellars/boiler rooms and beat them savagely. He alludes to this in the Louis Theroux documentary, at a point when he thinks the camera is switched off. 'I invented zero tolerance'. Add that to the tsunami of child abuse allegations, claims that he faked an injury down the pits so he didn't have to work or fight in the war, and the weird fixation with his mother (sexual?), and you get a very nasty picture indeed of the man.

OLB, the only reason why the CPS wouldn't prosecute is that they didn't feel confident of a possible conviction, & the only reason why they would feel so would be because the evidence available at the time would not have been at the level it would now appear to be. So I go back to my original point. With all that is now appearing in the press, why wasn't this available at the time? Was it because people were too scared to come forward? Or was it that people are now putting forward things that simply didn't happen because JS is no longer around to defend his corner. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an apologist for Mr S., I just wonder why people are only now coming forward and why more of a case wasn't put together at a time when action could have been taken.
It is odd, boggers, as there seems to be so much alleged info now. It does seem as if they were remarkably scared to come forward. Though we should not forget when some of this happened, allegedly, standards and attitudes were different to those of today.
Point noted 2020. Standards & attitudes may have been different, but alleged assaults against children were a crime in the 70s & nothing's changed.
I see they've removed his gravestone now. With all the flowers removed, along with the headstone, all that's left is a small hole with no bush around it. Just how he likes it.
There's new stuff coming out hour by hour, it seems that other TV presenters might have been involved, I hear that even Jeremy Beadle might have had a small hand in some of it.
