Lovely anecdote in tribute to Jimmy Armfield from Howard Wilkinson. When working at the Express, Armfield was in Press Room when Wilco berated the journos in the room for knowing nothing about football. “How many caps have you lot got?” Wilkinson asked the assembled Press. “43” piped up Jimmy Armfield from the back of the room.
