Another we're being linked to along with Hull, Swansea and West Ham. What do people make of it? I can't see him wanting to come to us to play understudy to Jones and I wouldn't especially want one of our promising new signings to play second fiddle to a young Gooner who we'll have no claim to in a year. I presume Vergini isn't on top dollar, won't cost the earth, and can do it wide and in the middle so Jenkinson wouldn't be an option for me. Hoping it's idle papertalk as Congerton's time and Short's money could be spent better elsewhere. Where do others stand on it?
No, get Vergini in and then we have two players for RB Only get two domestic loans, and rb isn't a priority
Rate the lad, but rather do Vergini on a permanent, stop putting issues off by a year and start solving.

I'd be happy with this. Jones isn't exactly a star signing and Vergini isn't a RB by trade. This lad has the potential to be very, very decent. And if Arsenal do sign Chambers as has been widely reported, then they'd have signed two right back's this season - it'd be one loan we WOULD have a decent shot of making permanent in a year. We should try get a fee built-in though if possible, can't see Arsenal pushing against it too hard given the above?
It's a Centre Back we need. JOS a year older and Wez is due 12 month off as his past record shows. Time to move on from them two don't you think ?
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...ity-agree-deal-for-arsenal-defender-jenkinson Would appear Hull have set the bar at £3m Just a question Would you rather have Jenkinson for £3m or Celutska for £2.5m....
Celutska we could have had for €1.5million mate! Jenkinson is probably just about better, plus English premium, but I saw enough in Celutska to see the a fee, in reality £1.2 millon, was a punt worth taking.
Think I'd go with Celutska tbo, he's was the safest member of our defence through the torrid start. With such attacking fullbacks already in place and the fact Celutska can play either fullback role or central defence he'd be a cracking addition to the squad. We just don't seem interested in the lad.
Sessegnon and Johnson have made hijm look like a schoolboy footballer more than once each (in fact, every time we've played against them). I don't think he's that good personally
