Would be a fantastic signing in my opinion, a good prospect who's value could rise so a very shrewd move by ITFC.

I think I'm right in saying that he played for Cardiff when we won there 2-0 last season and I seem to remember him taking us apart in flashes of brilliance but possibly could do with target practise.
Big lanky lad with quick feet and turn of pace he left our lot standing looking into space.
Not sure how he is in the air though and if PJ's looking for a knocker down and a flicker on for Chopsuey he may not fit the bill.
But for £1 mill got to be worth a punt.

Excited by the prospect but fear our 1M offer will be "laughably low"....!

£1m seems about right for a player who didnt really pull up any trees during his time at cardiff. when he was here at cardiff he never really had a position to call his own - he is built like a target man but often played wide left or right for us. i must admit i was really exited when we got him on loan, but to be brutally honest i was disappointed overall, like i was with many of our players.

who knows he could improve by playing week in week out but i'm not sure.

This would've been a nice one to dual post on the Gooners board to hear their thoughts.

    alright chaps :D

doubt you will get him permanently for £1m - cardiff paid £750k to take him on loan...

decent enough though if you can figure out where the hell to play him!

    Welcome back Superman.

we have seen from the Chopra deal and lots of others that asking prices fluctuate hugely.

Whether he can cut it I have no idea. Just because he's from a big club means jack all. Think Lee Martin!

I think sign up in all honesty, especially if £1 mill is right.

Has had a few loan spells, big lad well built 6'3. Also very strong.

    Also, check out this -

" A product of the Arsenal Academy, he is a versatile forward and can play as a winger or centre-forward. In the past he has played in a variety of positions such as fullback, center back and in the midfield but has now found his best position as a forward. "

Basically, if he came in with the 5 subs rule we'd be covered in a variety of positions.

    Think Lee Martin!

    -----

    no thanks yorkie!! ;)

chopra was a bit different though wasn't he - cardiff had to sell to get his wages off the books and because he was (allegedly) a disruptive influence on his team mates. they didn't even pocket any of the transfer money as it all went to sunderland! arsenal don't need to sell him.

not really sure if he's any good or not. he was dreadful against us last season for cardiff at carrow road and excellent against us last season at their place! in the words of paul merson, some days he is caviar, others he is cabbage...

one thing is for sure, he will never make the grade with the gooners.

Its really not something thats' worthy of any discussions' Lancs'. I believe that youll find that most of us poster's no about gramar and punktuition and stuff like that and that were very capuble of putting sentences' together what have been put otgether without any glaring mistakes with our' spelling or grmar and use our' punktuition to it's best to make shore that were not miss understood.

Please dont' be so pudantick - Im shore yours' have misstakes in two!

I put a post on their board at the end of last season telling them how awful I thought he was given his performances for us (Cardiff) virtually all of the gooners agreed. He is terrible, keep your 1 million and spend it anywhere else but on JET.

I think he would be a good signing as we are known for developing young talent and on the financial side we will soon re-coup the transfer fee by way of the expensively long names on shirts.
