Big spenders (since 2003) Chelsea: £214.2m Manchester City: £131.1m Liverpool: £120.1m Tottenham Hotspur: £105.7m Manchester United: £87.2m Arsenal: £68.9m Newcastle United: £63.1m Aston Villa: £50.4m West Ham: £44m Sunderland: £37.4m Southampton: £26.5m Everton: £23.2m Crystal Palace: £22.2m Stoke City: £21.4m Norwich City: £15.7m Leicester City: £14.4m Swansea City: £12.2m West Bromwich Albion: £11.8m Watford: £5.4m Bournemouth: £2.4m
Hm. I have a sneaky suspicion that United and 'Pool are going to go fcuking mental in this and the next Summer windows, to try to catch up to Spurs. Chelsea and £ity, of course, would like to spend £billions, but even the crooks in the FA won't be able to let that one get past the fair play rules.
Hang on a minute! Are you seriously trying to tell us that £ity has spent a mere £131 million since 2003? And that Chelsea has spent a mere £214 million since 2003? Those figures must be net? Even then, I can't see how they fit with the players they've each bought!
You only have to look at our figure to know it's net. We spent that much when Bale left - recouped it all on him and Hudd etc. I seriously doubt the Utd figure. They've spent a net £138m according to this site http://www.transferleague.co.uk/manchester-united/english-football-teams/manchester-united-transfers Edit: ok, Jan only, Missed that. Might not be net then, no way have we spent £103m Net in Jan.
Read the thread title HIAG the name of the month will give you a clue I make that **** up no3 tonight and it's barely even dinner time
Lpool 3rd !! They're 3rd in overall spending since PL was established in 1992 as well. Poor Brendan and his "shoestring" budget
Well it won't, but it might give you an insight into why you are such a simpleton .... then again .....
The first one is an apt description of HIAG's approach to this thread. I have no idea of whether he can tread.
Almost as good as HIAG pulling somebody up for a spelling mistake, just after he'd made a spelling mistake.
