Just been watching the news I hate racism at any level but we know it goes on, we all know that players have a bit of banter during the game.
I feel very sad that Jason was racially abused during the game and stood next to a steward who did nothing.
Also most fans seem to know who he was so why does no one come forward.
Jason has played on the highest circuit, The World Cup so for him to take the action he took it must have been serious.
I would like to wish him good luck in finding and prosecuting the offender, and helping to wipe this attitude out of sport

Unfortunately these things will always go on as long as fans allow it to... too often do fans turn the other cheek rather than report another fan just because they "support" the same team. People will know who the scum was but by not reporting him they are every bit as guilty as the the person or people chanting

First I would like to say that I totally agree with you - (shock)........however

Where does my 'shared' guilt stop ? If I watch somebody shoplifting in the supermarket - am I guilty if I don't report the matter ? Is it expected of me ? Why should I ? when all the time the store won't pay for enough staff to provide a 'personal' service - because it will eat into their profit margin.
Am I guilty of allowing starving people in the 3rd World to die - when it is possible for me to do more ?
In a perfect World everyone would help each other and not resort to selfishness or apathy. I know that we do not live in a perfect World - but THAT is the fault of Mankind - which could redress the situation.
It is difficult to 'cherry pick' the causes which each of us will support - or the circumstances which will prompt us into 'action' - but surely ALL forms of wrong against our fellow human being deserves our effort to intervene ? - lest we be called a hypocrite if we stand idly by in any situation - just because we don't think it as worthy as another - - I know it's not easy -- that is why we have so much apathy ( until it happens to us ).

    PS - good luck to J B.

Apparently the perpetrator was stood right next to one of the stewards when he was abusing JB but the steward didn't bother to do anything about it. Neither did the ref who JB told straight away that it had happened.

Hi Peg Leg, this is true and the offender just walked away ?
Always right, I agree to an extent to what you say, we cannot always help or be aware, but to stand alongside the Villain/ culprit !! then i feel it should have been resolved UTG and good luck JB
